Have You Noticed This With Our Black Men?

The examples I had growing up and how different they are now

Not all men are into skinny jeans, prettying themselves in the mirror and trying to be the next big celebrity hair and make up stylist. There are good old fashion 1990’s men who like to work and come home to a home cooked meal and a clean house.

I grew up with 3 older brothers and had a pretty good example of what a man “man” should be like. They weren’t perfect, but they knew their position of being the head.

Seems like more and more, black men are ditching women to be like women. Is it easier for a black man these days to go that route in order to get a head in society? I’m really curious if higher positions that pay well subliminally express their admiration for those who roll with same-sex.

Or could it be the music? The visuals and lyrics these days with famous rappers rocking women’s clothes doesn’t help teach a young boy how to be a man according to the ways of the Creator. Music definitely plays a part in the downfall of our men.

There’s also a flip side where some of our men are excessively aggressive and want their women (plural) to submit by any means necessary. It’s like you’ve got to choose between Luther Vandross or Malcolm X.

Maybe a better example would be Kid Cudi or Joe Budden.

Guess i just miss our black men the way they USE to be. How they were eager to lead.

In this video, I’m sharing some thoughts on that and would love to hear yours, too.
