Story time…
😭 It all started the day before the interview. I was suddenly hit with menstrual cramps so severe that I could barely get out of bed or stand up straight. 😖 They felt like contractions, but I wasn’t pregnant! 🤰🏽 I wondered what was going on with my body. 🤷🏽♀️ I knew I had to work out more and eat healthier, but this felt like an attack on my well-being. 😡 How was I going to be ready for the interview the next day? 🤯
By the way, I’ve worked out twice this week and here’s proof!
I decided to speak the word of Yah over myself out loud. I recited as many verses as I could remember, believing in the power of the word to heal me. Although the relief didn’t come right away, the word helped me endure the pain. My mom also brought me some hot tea, but I could only sip it a little before another wave of cramps hit me. She prayed for me, along with some other close friends and family. I felt their support and love lifting me up.
When the pain finally subsided, I contacted Craig and explained what had happened. I asked him if we could reschedule the interview, as I needed a day to recover. He was very understanding and agreed to postpone it.
The next day, I felt better, but not completely out of the woods. I still went ahead with the interview, trusting that Yah would give me the strength and grace to do it. The interview went great, and I was able to share my story and my faith. I praised Yah for helping me through it.
But then, I got a message from Craig saying that the audio was really low and he would try to fix it. He also mentioned some computer problems on his end. We all know how frustrating those can be, right? After a day or so, he sent me the file, but there was something wrong with the color. It looked like the video had been corrupted somehow.
Craig and I tried to work as a team to solve the problem, because the only other option was to redo the whole interview. I asked him to send me all the files, including the original one without any edits. 📧 I imported the file into my preferred video editing software, Screenflow, but I noticed that some parts of the video were just black. 🖤 This kept happening throughout the interview, and sometimes there was pixelation that made our faces unrecognizable. 😱 I thought to myself, maybe we should just start over. 🤔 But I didn’t want to give up so easily. 💪🏼 I wanted to find out if the problem was with the file, my computer, or something else. 🕵️♂️
I called Apple Care, because I was using their silicon chip computer, and I thought maybe that was the issue. They helped me update the OS, but that didn’t solve the problem. I wondered if the file itself was corrupted in some places. It played fine in QuickTime, but not in Screenflow. I thought, maybe I should try a different video editing software. I downloaded a 90-day free trial of Final Cut Pro. I wasn’t very familiar with it, but I managed to add the original video file and see that it played smoothly. I realized that I could export the file in a different format and then re-import it into Screenflow. I did that, and it worked! No more black screens or pixelation. HalleluYAH!
I was so happy that I had found a solution. I didn’t stop editing until I finished the whole video. It took me about three hours, but it was worth it. I wanted to share this story with you, so you could feel the resilience, the overcoming spirit, and the power of faith that brought it to life. I pray that you will get the gems you need from hearing our conversation. On Jan 1, 2024 when you watch and share the interview, you will have a deeper understanding of what resilience means, and how the word of Yah and prayer can help you through any challenge. May it bring you the encouragement you need! 🌟🎤
