This isn’t your typical Sunday message, so grab a cup of your favorite beverage and kick back with me as I share what’s on my mind and a bit of my heart. It’s my hope that this message will inspire you to embrace yourself as a “process of art being refined” with pain and passion inside that can ultimately propel you into your divine purpose.
Let’s dive in…
As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to people who spoke their minds. Not for the reasons of being “popular” “controversial” or “shocking” but for presenting interesting thoughts and strong opinions that would inspire positive change, particularly for justice. I admire the sense of fearlessness associated with sharing what sincerely beats in one’s heart as “truth.”
Whether it’s standing up for children and young teens whose parents are signing off on gender mutilating surgeries that cause irreversible damage or the dedicated YouTuber who spreads awareness about the deception of Christianity. All of that active motion towards change takes guts, determination, resiliency and a sense of bravery -empathy, too. What these remarkable people have in common is their ability to use their frustrations as fuel to embark on their “calling” which some would call divine purpose.
“What furoates you can fuel passion toward solution. What troubles your soul can be used as determination, creating an environment of healing.”
We can all think of times when complaining about an issue seemed like the only power we had. When in fact, complaining only grew the issue and poisoned our circle of influence with doubt and fear. So what can we do about these Grand Canyon, Mount Everest type issues that are affecting every part of our lives and freedoms?
I guess an even better question would be, why do we subconsciously think we are powerless to change them?? One very real consideration could be because we’ve witnessed over the decades what happens to someone who decides to speak out, speak up, speak truth - especially against corruption and those working for the evil one (knowingly or unknowingly). We’ve witnessed the repercussions. Jail time, reputation demolished, spreading of lies, media slander, and even death has been used routinely to initiate silence. It appears as if they mysteriously died because of this or that, or the attempt to tarnish their legacy was somehow justified but the bible says, “Hatred is covered by deceit” (Proverbs 26:26).
As I take a sip of my coffee, overlooking the city of Portland, I find myself thinking… “What happened to the resistance in this world for the malevolent?
We are rewarded to go along with wickedness, be quiet on injustices and do as your told. Try telling that to Daniel. Try telling that to Mordecai. Try shutting the mouth of Isaiah, Deborah the Judge or Esther. They were nonconformists in the traditional sense of the word. They had such a fear and reverence for Yah that they were more afraid of the consequences to NOT obey their Elohim versus the consequences of not fitting in to societal norms, resulting in losing their natural comforts.
When we peek into a well-known story, I Samuel chapter 17 of David, the stone, facing a Giant problem (pun intended) of his day. David knew the natural stone itself didn’t contain the knockout punch, but he was willing and courageous to step up to the plate. His deep conviction and belief were hinged upon the Ancient One of Israel, who’d be the supernatural power supply to Goliath’s demise.
The scripture says, “50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
Had David not stood on his fearless faith and obedience to Yah’s instruction, the people surrounding would have never witnessed this giant faith boosting miracle.
We too can be used of Yah even in the face of adversity so that many can see His power and love on display, repent for going their own way and believe in His truths.
Now I’m not saying go pick a fight with a giant, but I am magnifying the fact we all have a call on our lives, a divine purpose that can promote the attributes of The Creator in some fashion to bring about significant change.
Yah is always speaking to us. What instruction is He giving you today pertaining to action and movement toward purpose? What pain or frustrations do you have bottled inside that could be used for self, family, community and even world transformation? I encourage you to seek The Father for WISDOM to guide you fearlessly with whatever your calling is and to not be silenced by the hostile climate of today’s tyrants. Some may argue because the world is so malevolent, what difference does it make to take a stand for good or to do something positive? The difference is the frightening look at where we are now in society and how evil is trending.
Yes, it’s prophesied to get worse but there is a bright side of prophecy that says the harvest is plenty! Scripture encourages us to stand firm in our faith, shine our lights in the dark and do what we’re commanded such as:
✔️Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11)
✔️Love one another as through Yahusha, the Father has shown His love for us (John 13:34-35)
✔️Help the widow, the orphan, and be unstained of this world (James 1:27)
✔️Give to the homeless, the poor, the needy (Isaiah 58:6-8) & (Luke 12:33-34)
✔️Use your gifts for the service and edification of others (1 Peter 4:10)
✔️Forgive others (including self) as we too have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13)
Those are just a few examples from scripture of how we can turn these lights on for His esteem!
I started off this letter sharing why I was so drawn to people who spoke their minds pertaining to causes of justice. I realize that may not be everyone’s passion to pursue but what is your passion? Perhaps there’s humor inside you that can bring laughter to the mourning. Maybe you have a song in your heart that can inspire life to the discouraged. Whatever “thing” that lights you up when activated and can bless those around you - you have it for a reason, for a divine purpose. When you pair your frustrations and valid concerns with your supernatural gifts, you unravel the mystery of your meaning.
I too have been thinking a lot about how to be more involved in positive change utilizing the gift of music and I keep being led back to “start within.”
“The pathway into self-introspection, allows the Set apart Spirit of Yah to provide a map for outward direction.”
In otherwards, we must prioritize the health of our own life’s environment to be most effective in helping others change the condition of theirs. It is inside that we see our most problematic hinderances. It is inside that we find our darkest feelings, fears and insecurities. It is inside that we face our sins and battle our conscious. It is also inside where we find hope. Where we find the Ruach ready to guide and refine us into useful tools that can slay giants. I’m reminded of the scripture in Proverbs chapter 25 verse 4 that says, “Take away the dross from silver, and a vessel comes forth for the refiner.”

Proverbs 25:4 refers to a well-known process of art: the dross is separated from the silver, and so a vessel proceeds from the goldsmith, for he manufactures pure silver. The verse is saying that the process of refining silver is similar to the way Yah refines His people. The Most High uses trials (frustration/pain/discomforts/concerns) to purify His people, and the result is that they become more like Him. The verse is also a metaphor for the way that wisdom is acquired through experience and testing.
🙏🏽My prayer to you Abba Yah is to purify your people so we can be more like you - righteous, bold, loving, fearless. Open the eyes of our understanding, open our mouths to proclaim truth, set a fire beneath us, rekindle the flame of our passion, ignite us in your divine purpose for our lives, let us become more sensitive to the leading of your Ruach. Let us realize we are the laborers. Fortify us in your word that it may transform us. Let us become relentless toward becoming all that you’ve designed us to be! Let those who have resources, use them to fund solutions and give to those who are active in service. Let those who have platforms, use them to inform, encourage and uplift and not to tear down or spin deceit. Bring together those who call upon your name and seek You and your ways for brotherly and sisterly communion. Rain down provision, instruct supernatural ideas and strategies that will motivate and move us forward in these last days. Encourage us in your word and with praise music to keep our heads-up Father. I pray for the health, safety and shalom of all who are reading this. Thank you, almighty Yah, for forgiveness of sin, through the bloodshed of Yahusha Ha’mashiach. I pray that we may be awakened to our soul’s purpose and refined into the wonderful attributes of your character. HalleluYah.
Shalom for now…

Powerful message Sis! I will be reflecting on this message for awhile. There is a lot to unpack here. I am understanding the importance of removing all distractions so that we can hear and see clearly from Yah. It is so important in these end times to "understand" what the will of Yah is for our lives. Learning to maximize each day because the days are short...Selah 🙏🏽💕
