Embracing the sacrifice of living your purpose

Not really a newsletter, more of a late-night bedtime story for grown-ups.

Years ago, when I was involved in Christian music, dealing with the typical jealousy that accompanies gifts was familiar. Even with that, I enjoyed a growing fan base, frequent shows, and countless opportunities knocking at my door, not just as an artist but as an entrepreneur. However, when I stepped away from Christianity, it seemed like everyone else did too—not the religion, but me! It was a bitter pill to swallow, but Yah guided me through. I witnessed firsthand how differing perspectives can separate and divide. Though a few remained loyal, most vanished into thin air. Discovering the truth about Yah's chosen people and their history parachuted me into a new community, which initially seemed promising. Yet, roadblocks emerged once again: encountering false friends, envy, controlling individuals, cliques, and religious influences. And while I acknowledge my own mistakes, my heart has always longed for unity AND purity. I quickly learned, however, that unity isn't possible with everyone who claims to want the same or share your beliefs. "You shall know them by their fruits," the Bible warns.

When you're set apart, your path narrows significantly, not merely as an attempt to be different, but out of necessity. It's both a blessing and an honor, yet it can also be immensely challenging. Have you ever felt this way? Balancing this contrast requires finding contentment in Yah's purpose for your life, your unique gifts, and the relationships He has destined for you. It takes a lot of steadfast maturity to find peace in the divine plan even when it feels like a mystery.

I pour my heart into creating music that uplifts and glorifies the Most High, yet often the recognition falls short of the effort poured in. It can be challenging to trust that there's a greater plan at work, even when it remains beyond our comprehension.

Despite this, my ultimate desire remains to serve the Most High and share my gifts with those who are meant to receive it. Regardless of what this world can offer (which isn’t attractive once you go underneath) I do it for YAH as He has repeatedly shown me His trustworthiness. Also, it's the loyalty, warmth and love I've found in a small community of people (He has sent) that keeps me going. I’m so grateful for that, yes, tonight, I’m grateful for you.

I often ask myself; how will you navigate life's challenges when trust appears scarce, and loyalty seems hard to find? How do you persist in pursuing your purpose, even in the face of adversity and unmet desires?

In the face of such things, I have come to understand that giving up nor compromising to “fit in” will ever be an option. The hope of YAH’s eternal reward (being in His presence, in our own land with the set apart family) is the signal that guides me through the darkest of nights. It's the firm belief that even in the midst of uncertainty, there's a greater plan unfolding, one that we may not fully comprehend at the moment.

Hope whispers of a future where our efforts and faithfulness will be rewarded, and our struggles will be transformed into steppingstones towards a higher purpose. The reminder being, we are HIS amazing workmanship, living to fulfill the blueprint He designed for each of us from the very beginning of time.

There’s so much more I want to share but I’ll stop here for now. I trust that by reading this, it will inspire you to remain steadfast if you resonate with my story or have encountered comparable situations. Rest assured that your devotion and loyalty to Yah are seen by Him.

A short prayer:

Father, I thank you for the many blessings you have given and those to come, for you are GOOD! I ask that you give us all the strength to embrace our individual and collective purpose and more importantly the sacrifice that comes with it. Give us the spirit of gratitude and mature perspective, understanding your divine will is always best.

In Yahusha’s Hebrew name,

HalleluYAH.

Thanks for listening.

Have a beautiful, wonderful Sabbath.

Shalom, lovely brothers and sisters of Yah! I hope you're all doing great. I've been on the move lately - quite literally! Some of you might have caught the speedy YouTube video showcasing the new place Mom and I just moved into, and perhaps even the post about the incredible help we received. As I write this newsletter, I'm cozied up in my new bed, in …

These words were so beautifully woven together. We are Yah's Tapestry and He is at work within us when we allow Him. As you know I can relate to everything you shared and had it not been for me "knowing" and "experiencing" the love of Yah the pain of trauma and disloyalty could have overtaken me. Yet Greater is He that is in me - than He that is in the world. It is Yah's promises that are stored up for me that propels me to stay on His Righteous Path 🙏🏽💕
