Have you ever wondered why it seems like you get hit with attacks right after receiving a blessing? Or maybe you spend time trying to figure out why you're going through tough times while others around you seem to have it easy. It can be frustrating, but we have to remember that we don't always know what's going on behind the scenes in other people's lives. Plus, trying to understand our pain and suffering isn't always helpful. Instead, we can turn to scripture for guidance and strength.
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various temptations; knowing this, that the proving of your belief works endurance. But let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
I'll give you a real life example. My mom and I were recently approved to move to a bigger and better place with awesome amenities like a pool, hot tub, gym, and community room where we can have our family gatherings. We had been searching and praying for the perfect place and it finally happened, which is amazing! But here's the crazy part - before we even knew we were moving to this area, I started working for a friend of our family a couple days a week who happens to live in that area too! It's like Yah was giving us a sneak peek of what was to come.
So, get this - my neck and shoulder were killing me. I figured out that when I was chatting earlier, I must have kept my neck in one position for way too long. As I left and got in the car, I was feeling a bit bummed out. I mean, it's Monday and I've got a lot on my plate - working on an album, just released a new single on iTunes, setting up my new health care and dental benefits, and preparing for another move. I was thinking, "Not this week!" But I'm staying positive and hopeful that the pain will subside soon. 🙏🏽
Well, before heading home, I decided to swing by Dutch Bro’s for an oat milk caramel latte, and they actually come up to your car window to take your order which I like because they’re always nice and friendly. So, I placed my order and was about to pay when the girl told me that the guy in front of me had already paid for my drink. How sweet is that?! I asked her how I could thank him, and she went over to his car to let him know how grateful I was. It’s amazing how even the little things can brighten up your day. But you know what? Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. There’s an enemy out there who doesn’t want to see you succeed, rejoice or endure. He’ll try to discourage you and throw fiery darts your way. But don’t worry, Yah sees, He knows, and He hears your cry. Even through pain, you must praise!
Whether we're facing attacks from the enemy or going through a pruning process, these experiences are necessary for our growth. If you're truly seeking Yah and His righteousness, you're automatically enlisted in His army. And in an army, there are battles and fights that come with pain. But we can find joy in these trials because they confirm that we belong to Him, that we have a divine purpose, and that we're building endurance.
No matter what you're going through, just remember that you're not alone and Yah's got your back every step of the way. Yah is your strength and comfort. Good stuff will keep coming, but so will the tough stuff - that’s just our reality. It's all about what you choose to focus on. We're all in this together! Keep your head up and stay positive! Let's keep pushing through and keep our eyes on the prize - seeing Yah’s GOODNESS and glory!

So beautifully said Sis💝 Yah knows I needed this reminder today. It seems the "Overcoming" part is endless and there are seasons of heaviness...Praise Yah for our Redeemer-Our King who carries our burdens-when we give them to Him. Yet in all things I am hanging on to Yah's Promises 🙏🏽💕
